The Faulkner conference was unbelievable. I met so many contacts and amazing writers. Also I slept on high thread count sheets and dined on sinful food and wine. I highly recommend the Monteleone to anyone who can afford it (thank you, Faulkner Society!) It was so wonderful to meet P. Neofotis (winner, novella), Emily Lupita Plum (winner, poetry), Jamey Hatley, and judge Janette Turner Hospital. I also enjoyed reconnecting with old friend Emilie Staat.
